Newfoundland ride 2019

My moto-travel best bud Dean Clegg and I rode from Portland, Maine, through New Brunswick and Nova Scotia, around Newfoundland, then back home in 2019. Dean was on his Triumph Tiger 800 and I was on my Kawasaki KLR 650. We’d ridden the Trans-Labrador Highway and west coast of Newfoundland the year before but wanted to see the other side of the island and the city of St. John’s. So, we rode all the way across on the Trans-Canada Highway. Let me tell you, Newfoundland is bigger than it looks.

I was so exhausted when I returned, I never really looked at all the pictures. Then the world went to hell and I kind of forgot about them until this week. I’ve been flat on my back in bed with an incredible cold. In addition to coughing my face off and honking my nose, I’ve been totally bored. Then, I remembered these pictures today. Looking through them has really cheered me up and brought back some sweet summer memories of The Rock, good friends and two-wheeled travel
